Violinist Eric Grossman, praised by the New York Times as a “brilliant soloist,” is a versatile performer. With notable collaborations and concerto performances in many parts of the world, he has been praised for his flawless technique, superb musicianship, and commitment to a wide range of repertoire.

At the age of 5, he was taken to rehearsals and performances conducted by Pablo Casals at the Marlboro Music Festival which inspired and left a lasting impression on him. Eric’s first orchestral appearance was at age 7 performing a Vivaldi violin concerto with Dr. Leo Kucinski at the podium. A graduate of The Juilliard School, where he studied with Dorothy DeLay, he has given highly acclaimed performances with orchestras in the U.S., Europe, Korea, Japan, China, and Cuba under renowned conductors, including Zubin Mehta, Stanislav Skrowaczewski and Michael Gielen.

The recording of this live performance won the 2010 Cubadisco award. Eric also premiered James Cohn’s violin concerto with the Havana Soloists. On his sixth concert tour of Korea, he was soloist in the Brahms Violin Concerto with the KBS Symphony Orchestra.
